What this app does
Home Inventory - Tracker lets users catalogue their household belongings on their Android device — adding items with photos, values, brands, serial numbers, purchase dates and warranty details — and then generate insurance-ready PDF reports, track warranties, and search everything instantly.
Users can optionally connect their Google account to back up and restore their inventory — items, photos, values and warranty records — to a private, app-specific folder in their own Google Drive. This keeps a safe copy they can restore on a new phone. The feature is strictly opt-in; the app works fully offline without it.

How the app uses your Google account
When you turn on Google Drive backup, the app requests only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope. This limits access to a hidden folder the app itself creates in your Drive — the app cannot see or touch any of your other Google Drive files.
Your backup is stored in your own Google account, is never sent to the developer, and can be turned off or deleted at any time. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
