Home Inventory - Tracker is an Android app that helps you organize household items, keep warranty records, attach receipts and photos, and securely back up your data to your own Google Drive.
What the app is for
Home Inventory - Tracker turns the scattered pile of receipts, warranty cards and mental notes about your belongings into one organised, searchable record on your phone. Go through your home room by room, add each item with a photo, and capture the details that matter — what it is, what it cost, when you bought it, its serial number, and how much it would cost to replace today.
It is built for the moments when that record suddenly matters: filing a home-insurance claim after a theft, fire or flood; proving ownership and value to an adjuster; settling a warranty dispute; keeping track of everything during a move or a downsize; or simply understanding what you own and what it is worth.
What the app does
- Catalogue everything you own — add an item in seconds with a photo, then record brand, model, serial number, barcode, price, purchase date, condition and replacement value.
- Scan product labels and receipts with on-device OCR to auto-fill details — nothing is sent to a server for recognition.
- Organise items by rooms, categories and containers, and search or filter your whole inventory instantly.
- Get reminders before your warranties expire.
- See the total value of your home, with breakdowns by room, category and condition, and per-category depreciation.
- Generate printable PDF inventory reports and photo-rich, insurance-ready reports, plus QR label sheets for boxes.
- Export your data as CSV, JSON or a complete ZIP backup with photos, and restore it on a new phone.
- Protect the app with your phone’s screen lock, fingerprint or a PIN.
Optional Google Drive backup
Home Inventory - Tracker works fully offline by default and keeps your data on your device. If you choose to turn it on, the app can back up your inventory to a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive, so you can restore it on a new phone.
This feature is strictly opt-in and uses only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope, which limits access to a hidden folder the app itself creates — the app cannot see or touch any of your other Google Drive files. Your backup stays in your Google account; it is never sent to the developer, and you can turn the feature off or delete the backup at any time.
Private by design
