Introduction
Nestling — Baby Tracker ("Nestling") is a private, offline baby tracker for feeds, sleep, diapers, growth and milestones. It is developed and maintained by Prachi, an independent developer, who you can reach any time at support@elevatedev.co.in.
This privacy policy took effect on the "last updated" date shown above (July 11, 2026). It explains, in plain language, what data the app handles, how that data is used, and — just as importantly — what the app does not do.
The short version: Nestling does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data. Everything you enter into the app is stored only on your device and never leaves it through the app.
Data We Collect
None. Nestling has no user accounts, no sign-in, no cloud database and no server operated by the developer. Nothing you enter is transmitted off your device by the app, and Prachi has no technical means to see, access or recover anything you store in it.
Data We Access & Store on Your Device
To do its job, Nestling stores the following information locally, in the app's private storage on your device. This data stays on the device ONLY — it is never uploaded, transmitted, sold or shared:
- Your baby's profile (name, date of birth, sex if you choose to set it) and all logged events — feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping and milk-stash inventory, solids, growth measurements, health entries, milestones and vaccinations.
- Any photos you attach, stored in the app's private storage.
- In-app preferences and, if you enable the optional app lock, a salted cryptographic hash of your PIN — never the PIN itself.
- PDF reports, CSV exports and JSON backups you generate, saved only to folders you choose.
Data Categories (Google Play Data Safety)
In the categories used by Google Play's Data Safety section, the information Nestling handles falls under:
- Health & wellness information about your baby (feeds, sleep, diapers, growth measurements, temperature, medications, milestones and vaccinations).
- Photos (any milestone or memory photos you choose to attach).
- App activity & settings (your baby's name and date of birth, preferences, and optional app-lock settings).
- None of these categories is "collected" or "shared" in the Play Data Safety sense: the data is processed ephemerally or stored on-device only, and never leaves your device through the app.
How Your Data Is Used
The data above is used only inside the app, on your device, to provide the features you asked for. It is never used for advertising, profiling, marketing, "improving our services" or any purpose beyond these:
- To log feeds (breast, bottle, pumping and solids), sleep and naps with live timers, and diapers — with a Today dashboard showing time since the last event.
- To chart weight, height and head circumference and show a WHO weight-for-age percentile estimate for your own reference.
- To track developmental milestones and a vaccination schedule, and to remind you of dates you set.
- To record temperature and medication and generate a pediatrician-friendly PDF report that you export and share yourself.
- To show weekly insights and a smart next-nap suggestion based on your baby's age — all computed on-device.
- To lock the app behind your PIN or fingerprint, if you enable the optional app lock.
Data Sharing & Selling
Prachi does not share, sell, rent, trade or disclose any of your data to third parties — for advertising, analytics, "partners" or anything else. There is nothing to share: no data ever reaches the developer in the first place.
The only way information leaves Nestling is when you explicitly export or share something yourself (for example, a file you generate and choose to send). Anything you share is transferred by the app you share it to, under that app's policies. User-initiated export or backup is the only path by which data can leave the app.
Third-Party Services
Nestling does not integrate third-party services that receive your personal data — no analytics providers, no advertising networks, no cloud databases.
In-app purchases, if any: if Nestling offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade (or any other in-app purchase), the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing, Google's own payment system. Prachi never receives your card or payment details — Google Play only confirms to the app that a purchase succeeded. Google's privacy policy governs payment processing. There are no subscriptions, and your data is never behind a paywall.
If you install the app from Google Play, Google's own terms and privacy policy govern the store itself (downloads, payments and reviews), independently of this app.
Permissions & Why We Ask
Nestling may request the following Android permissions, and only for the reasons stated. Denying an optional permission never locks you out of the rest of the app:
- Notifications (optional) — to deliver vaccination and custom reminders you set. You can use the entire app without notifications.
- Photo access (via the system photo picker) — to let you attach existing photos to milestones and memories. The picker shares only the photos you select.
- No internet permission — removed entirely — Nestling does not include the internet permission at all, so Android itself guarantees the app cannot transmit anything. This is enforced by the operating system, not just promised by us.
Analytics, Advertising & Tracking
Nestling contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services that upload data, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not profile you, fingerprint your device, or measure your behaviour.
The app does not show ads and does not request, collect or use the Android Advertising ID. If a future version were ever to introduce advertising or use the Advertising ID (we have no plans to), this policy would be updated here, with a new date, before that version shipped.
Data Security
Your data is held in Nestling's private app storage, which Android sandboxes from every other app on the device. Because the app transmits nothing, there is no data in transit to intercept and no server-side copy to breach — the most common ways apps leak data simply do not exist here.
Nestling stores your baby's data in an encrypted on-device database, and the Android internet permission is not present in the app, so the operating system itself prevents any network transmission. If you enable the optional app lock, your PIN is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash, never in plain text, and biometric checks are verified by Android — the app never sees your fingerprint or face data.
For an extra layer of protection we recommend using your device's screen lock (PIN, pattern or biometrics), which also protects everything inside the app, and keeping Android's full-disk encryption enabled (it is on by default on modern devices).
Backups & Exports
Any backup or export features in Nestling produce files that you control. They are created only when you ask, written only where you choose, and are never uploaded by the developer. If you copy an export to a cloud drive, that storage provider's policy applies to the copy you made. This user-initiated path is the only way your data can leave the device.
Standard Android device backups (if you have them enabled in system settings) are managed by Android and your device manufacturer under Google's terms, not by Prachi.
Data Retention & Deletion
Data is retained on your device only for as long as you choose to keep it — there is no server-side copy, so there is nothing the developer retains, and no retention schedule other than the one you set by keeping or deleting your own data.
Deleting your data is entirely in your hands, at any time and without asking anyone:
- Delete individual entries inside the app whenever you like.
- Clear the app's data from Android Settings → Apps → Nestling → Storage, which wipes everything the app stored.
- Uninstall the app — everything it stored in private storage is removed from the device along with it.
- There is no server-side copy anywhere, so there is nothing to request deletion of — deletion on your device is complete and final.
Children's Privacy
Nestling is not directed at children under 13, and Prachi does not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because the app collects no data at all. It has no chat, no social features and no advertising. If you believe a child has used the app, simply deleting the app's data or uninstalling it removes everything, as nothing ever left the device.
Your Rights
Privacy laws around the world (such as the GDPR and CCPA) give you rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability and objection to processing. Nestling satisfies these by design, because you are the only person who holds the data:
- Access — open the app; everything it knows about you is visible there, on your device.
- Correction — edit or update any entry directly in the app.
- Deletion — delete entries in-app, clear the app's data, or uninstall (see "Data Retention & Deletion").
- Portability / export — where the app offers export or report features, the files produced are yours, in ordinary formats, stored where you choose.
- Nothing to object to — there is no profiling, no automated decision-making and no marketing to opt out of. If you still have a question about your rights, email support@elevatedev.co.in.
Purchases
Nestling is free to use. An optional one-time “Nestling Pro” purchase unlocks extra features. Purchases are processed by Google Play; the developer never receives your payment details. Nestling contains no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date, which is also the date the changes take effect. Material changes (for example, if a future version added an optional online feature) will be described here before that version ships. The fundamental promise will never change retroactively: data you stored under a no-collection policy will never be silently collected later.
No Warranty & Your Own Checks
This policy explains how Nestling handles data. It is not a warranty about the app itself, and it does not make Prachi responsible for how you use it.
Nestling is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Prachi is not liable for any loss you may suffer through using it — including lost data, missed reminders, lost profits or decisions you make based on what the app shows you — to the maximum extent applicable law allows. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Please check the app's output before you act on it. Nestling organises what you enter; it does not verify that what you entered is correct, and you remain responsible for the decisions you make. The full terms, including the complete limitation of liability, are at https://elevatedev.co.in/terms.
