Weight Loss Tracker Privacy Policy
Your weight entries, body measurements and progress photos stay on your device, in the app's private storage. Weight Loss Tracker has no account, no sync and no server, and does not even request the internet permission: nothing you log can be transmitted anywhere. It shows no ads and uses no advertising identifier.

Introduction
Weight Loss Tracker is a private weight-loss, BMI and body-measurement tracker that keeps everything on your device. It is developed and maintained by Prachi, an independent developer, who you can reach any time at support@elevatedev.co.in.
This privacy policy took effect on the "last updated" date shown above (August 30, 2026). It explains, in plain language, what data the app handles, how that data is used, and — just as importantly — what the app does not do.
The short version: everything you log in Weight Loss Tracker — weight entries, goal, body measurements, optional profile details and any progress photos — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded. The app does not request the internet permission at all, so it has no way to upload anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud sync and no server run by the developer, so there is no copy of your data anywhere but your own phone. The app shows no advertisements and does not use the Android Advertising ID. The only copies of your data that can exist outside the app are the CSV exports and backup files you create yourself, saved where you choose.
Data We Collect
None. Weight Loss Tracker has no user accounts, no sign-in, no cloud database and no server operated by the developer. Every weight entry, measurement, photo and preference is written to the app's own sandboxed storage on your device and stays there. The developer has no technical means to see, access or recover anything you store in the app.
This is a structural fact rather than a promise: there is no network path through which your health data could reach us. The app makes no request to any server of ours, because we operate none.
Data We Access & Store on Your Device
Everything the app keeps, it keeps on your device — in a local database and in its private file storage:
- Weight entries you log: date, weight and any notes you add.
- Your goal weight and optional profile details (height, sex, birth date) with derived values such as BMI, net change, weekly rate and body-fat/BMR estimates, computed on-device.
- Body measurements you record (waist, chest, hip, arm, thigh, neck, shoulders, calf).
- Optional progress photos, saved as files in the app's private storage on your device.
- In-app preferences (units kg/lb/st and cm/in, theme, language, reminder settings).
- CSV exports and backup files you create, saved only where you choose.
Data Categories (Google Play Data Safety)
In the categories used by Google Play's Data Safety section, the information Weight Loss Tracker handles falls under:
- Health & fitness information (weight entries, body measurements, BMI and optional profile details such as height, sex and birth date used for estimates) — stored on your device only, never transmitted.
- Photos (optional progress photos you add, stored as files in the app's private storage) — never transmitted.
- App activity & settings (units, theme, language, reminder preferences) — stored on your device only.
- Every category above is stored on-device and none of it is collected by the developer, shared with anyone, or sent off your device by the app. Weight Loss Tracker's Google Play Data safety declaration reports no data collected and no data shared, which is what the app actually does.
How Your Data Is Used
Your health data is used only inside the app, on your device, to provide the features you asked for — never for advertising, profiling or any purpose of the developer's:
- To show your weight trend against your goal, your BMI, and your body-measurement history.
- To compute insights entirely on your device: net change, weekly rate, streaks, milestones, plateau detection and — if you provide the optional profile details — healthy-range, body-fat and BMR estimates.
- To show your latest weight on the optional home-screen widget (the widget reads only data already on your device).
- To create CSV exports and backup files, only when you ask and only where you choose.
- To send the optional daily weigh-in reminder, only if you enable it. Reminders are scheduled locally by Android; no notification is sent from a server.
Data Sharing & Selling
The developer does not share, sell, rent, trade or disclose your data to anyone, for advertising, analytics or any other purpose. There is nothing to share: your health data never reaches the developer in the first place.
Your data can leave the app in exactly one way, and only when you choose it: when you create a CSV export or a backup file and save or send it yourself. From that point the file is an ordinary file under your control, and whatever app or service you hand it to is governed by its own policy.
Two situations could still lead to a disclosure in principle. Legal obligation: if elevatedevco were required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority to disclose data, we could disclose only what we actually hold — which, for this app, is nothing about you. Business transfer: if elevatedevco's business were ever acquired, merged, or its assets transferred, there would likewise be no user data from Weight Loss Tracker to transfer, because none is ever in the developer's possession.
Third-Party Services
Weight Loss Tracker integrates no analytics provider, no crash-reporting service, no cloud database, no advertising network and no social SDK. The only third-party component that can be reached from the app is Google Play In-App Review, part of Google Play itself, used solely to show the optional in-app rating prompt; it receives nothing about your weight, measurements, photos or any other health data. Opening a link from Settings (for example this policy) hands the address to your own browser, which is an ordinary web visit governed by that browser's and that site's policies, and sharing an export hands the file to whichever app you pick, under that app's policy.
If you install the app from Google Play, Google's own terms and privacy policy govern the store itself (downloads, payments and reviews), independently of this app.
Permissions & Why We Ask
Weight Loss Tracker may request the following Android permissions, and only for the reasons stated. Denying an optional permission never locks you out of the rest of the app:
- Notifications (optional) — only if you enable the daily weigh-in reminder. The reminder is scheduled and delivered locally by Android, with no server involved. You can use the entire app without notifications.
- Run at startup — to re-schedule your daily reminder after the device reboots. Used for nothing else.
- No internet permission — Weight Loss Tracker does not request the INTERNET permission, or any other network permission, at all. An app without it cannot open a network connection even if its code tried to, so this is the strongest form the promise in this policy can take: your data cannot be uploaded, because the app has no means to upload anything. The app works identically with the network switched off, in aeroplane mode, or on a device that has never been online.
- No camera or storage permission — progress photos are taken or picked through Android's own system camera/gallery picker, so the app never needs direct camera or storage access.
Analytics, Advertising & Tracking
Weight Loss Tracker contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services that upload data, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not profile you, fingerprint your device, or measure your behaviour. We cannot: nothing the app does reaches a server of ours.
The app shows no advertisements of any kind — no banner, no interstitial, no rewarded video — and does not request, collect or use the Android Advertising ID. There is no advertising library in the app to do so: an earlier version carried a switched-off copy of Google's Mobile Ads SDK, and it has been removed outright, taking the internet and ad-services permissions it used to add with it.
If advertising were ever introduced in a future version, it would not happen silently: this policy would be updated first, with a new date, describing exactly what is collected, which consent prompt is shown, and how to decline or withdraw consent, before that version was released.
Data Security
Your weight entries, measurements and photos are held in Weight Loss Tracker's private app storage, which Android sandboxes from every other app on the device. The app operates no server and has no account or sign-in system, so there is no server-side copy of your health data to breach and no login to compromise. It transmits nothing over the network — and, holding no internet permission, could not transmit anything even if it tried — so there is no data in transit to intercept.
Anyone with unlocked access to your phone can open the app and see your entries, exactly as they could with any other app on the device; Weight Loss Tracker relies on your device's own lock screen rather than adding a second password. Keeping a screen lock enabled is the meaningful protection here.
We do not claim a specific security certification such as ISO 27001, and we do not run a formal penetration-testing or third-party security-audit programme — the protection here comes from the app's on-device-only architecture rather than from a security programme wrapped around infrastructure we don't have.
For an extra layer of protection we recommend using your device's screen lock (PIN, pattern or biometrics), which also protects everything inside the app, and keeping Android's full-disk encryption enabled (it is on by default on modern devices).
Backups & Exports
Any backup or export features in Weight Loss Tracker produce files that you control. They are created only when you ask, written only where you choose, and are never uploaded by the developer. If you copy an export to a cloud drive, that storage provider's policy applies to the copy you made. This user-initiated path is the only way your data can leave the device.
Standard Android device backups (if you have them enabled in system settings) are managed by Android and your device manufacturer under Google's terms, not by Prachi.
Data Retention & Deletion
Location and duration, stated plainly: your entries, measurements and photos are stored in Weight Loss Tracker's private app storage on your device — never in a database or on a server run by the developer, because we operate neither. Duration: until you delete them yourself. There is no retention schedule other than the one you choose, and there is nothing on our side to retain, expire or delete on any timetable, because we never receive a copy.
Health data is the most sensitive category this app touches, and it is precisely the category that never moves: weight, measurements and progress photos are written to the device and read back from it, and nothing else.
- Delete individual weight entries, measurements or photos inside the app whenever you like.
- Clear the app's data from Android Settings → Apps → Weight Loss Tracker → Storage, which wipes every entry, photo and preference the app stored.
- Uninstall the app — everything it stored in private storage is removed along with it. CSV exports or backups you separately saved elsewhere are unaffected, because those files are yours.
- There is no server-side copy of your health data anywhere — nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf, and no advertising data held by any third party either.
Children's Privacy
Weight Loss Tracker is a general-audience weight and body-measurement tracker intended for adults managing their own weight. It is not designed for, marketed to or directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a child through the app — or from anyone else, because the app collects no data at all. It has no chat, no social features, no user-to-user content and no advertising.
European Economic Area: under Article 8 GDPR, the age at which a child can consent to an information-society service on their own behalf is set by each member state and ranges from 13 to 16. Weight Loss Tracker does not rely on the user's consent for any processing — there is none to consent to — so this variation does not change how the app is built or operated.
United Kingdom: the age of consent for online services is 13. The app's design is consistent with the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code even though it is not aimed at children: it collects nothing, profiles no one, shows no advertising, and offers the same experience to every user regardless of age.
United States: Weight Loss Tracker is a general-audience health and fitness tool. Its subject matter, content and marketing are not directed at children, and we do not have actual knowledge that any user is a child under 13. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) that combination means the app is not treated as a child-directed service; separately, it collects no personal information from any user, child or adult.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app, deleting the app's data or uninstalling it removes everything the app holds on that device. Nothing needs to be requested from us, because we hold nothing.
Your Rights
Privacy laws around the world — the GDPR and UK GDPR, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, India's DPDP Act and others — give you rights over your personal data. For Weight Loss Tracker the answer to every one of them is unusually simple, because your data never leaves your device and the developer never receives it. There is no advertising data either, because the app shows no ads.
- Access (GDPR Art. 15) — open the app; everything it holds about you is visible there, on your device. We hold nothing to give you.
- Correction (GDPR Art. 16) — edit or delete any weight entry, measurement, photo or profile detail directly in the app.
- Erasure / deletion (GDPR Art. 17) — delete individual entries in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall. There is no server-side copy for us to delete.
- Portability (GDPR Art. 20) — export your entries to CSV from Settings at any time; a CSV is a standard, machine-readable format you can open or import anywhere.
- Restriction of processing (GDPR Art. 18) — you may ask us to restrict processing. Email us and we will act on it, though in practice we carry out no processing of your data to restrict.
- Objection (GDPR Art. 21) — there is no profiling, no advertising and no processing by the developer to object to.
- Withdraw consent (GDPR Art. 7(3)) — the app relies on your consent for nothing except the optional notification permission, which you can revoke at any time in Android Settings.
- Rights related to automated decision-making (GDPR Art. 22) — the app makes no decision about you that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Its BMI, body-fat and BMR figures are informational estimates shown to you, not decisions taken about you.
- Complaint (GDPR Art. 77) — you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In the EEA that is the authority where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred; the list is at edpb.europa.eu. In the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. You may also bring a claim before a court under GDPR Art. 79.
Who Is the Data Controller?
Weight Loss Tracker is developed by Prachi and published by elevatedevco, and is distributed on Google Play under the Android package com.superdev.prachi.aab.
elevatedevco is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and the Data Fiduciary within the meaning of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — but for this app that role is almost empty, because no personal data ever reaches us. There is no processor either: a processor handles personal data on a controller's behalf, and your weight entries, measurements and photos are never sent to anyone to handle.
You can reach us about anything in this policy — including a request to exercise your rights, or a grievance — by email at support@elevatedev.co.in. We answer privacy requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
Do We Use Your Data to Train AI?
No. Weight Loss Tracker contains no AI model and no machine-learning model of any kind, and sends no weight entry, measurement or photo anywhere. This is a structural fact, not a promise: there is no network path, server or account through which your health data could reach us, so there is nothing for the developer — or any third party — to access, analyse, review, index, or train an AI model with.
The trend lines, streaks, plateau detection and BMI, body-fat and BMR figures the app shows you are ordinary arithmetic, computed on your device from the numbers you entered. No model is involved and no data is sent anywhere to produce them.
If a future version ever added an optional feature that required sending data to a server, it would be off by default, need your explicit choice to turn on, and this policy would be updated first, with a new date, before it shipped.
What Personal Data Do We Process?
A summary of everything the app handles, by whom, why, and for how long:
YOUR WEIGHT ENTRIES, BODY MEASUREMENTS, PROFILE DETAILS AND PROGRESS PHOTOS — collected by: nobody. They are written and read on your device only. Purpose: to show you your own trend, goal progress and estimates. Shared with: no one. Retained: until you delete them. Never uploaded, never used for advertising, never seen by us.
APP SETTINGS (units, theme, language, reminder preferences) — collected by: nobody. Stored in the app's local preferences on your device, for the app's own behaviour. Retained: until you clear the app's data or uninstall.
ADVERTISING DATA — none. The app shows no ads, contains no advertising library, and does not use the Android Advertising ID. It holds no internet permission, so it cannot reach an ad network at all.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise location or biometrics, and we do not receive the health data you enter. We operate no server and have no account system.
What Is the Legal Basis for Processing My Data?
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR requires a controller to state the legal basis for each purpose personal data is processed for. For Weight Loss Tracker the honest answer is that there is no such purpose to state: the developer carries out no processing of your personal data at all, because none of it is ever transmitted to us. Storing your own data on your own device, under your sole control, is not processing carried out by us that would need a basis.
Weight, body measurements and progress photos are data concerning health, a special category under Article 9 GDPR that carries stricter conditions. The app is built so those conditions never come into play for the developer: we do not process this data, because it never leaves your device and we never receive it.
The only thing the app asks your permission for is the optional notification used for the daily weigh-in reminder, which you grant or refuse in Android's own permission prompt and can change at any time in Android Settings. Nothing else in the app depends on consent, because nothing else involves us at all.
If a future version ever introduced advertising or any feature that transmitted data, the legal basis for it would be stated here, with a new date, before that version shipped.
Does Weight Loss Tracker Show Ads?
No. Weight Loss Tracker shows no advertisements of any kind — no banner, no interstitial, no rewarded video — and does not use Google AdMob or any other advertising network. It does not request, collect or use the Android Advertising ID.
This is now structural rather than a setting. An earlier version of the app contained a switched-off copy of Google's Mobile Ads library, which was never initialised and never requested an ad, but which did cause the app to declare internet and advertising-services permissions it made no use of. That library has been removed from the app entirely, and with it those permissions: Weight Loss Tracker no longer declares the INTERNET permission at all, so it cannot contact an ad server — or any server — even in principle.
If advertising were ever introduced in a future version, it would not happen silently: this policy would be updated first, with a new date, describing exactly what is collected, which consent prompt is shown, and how to decline or withdraw consent, before that version was released. Until you see such an update on this page, Weight Loss Tracker shows no ads and collects no advertising data.
Where Is My Data Transferred?
Nowhere. Your weight entries, body measurements, profile details and progress photos are never transferred off your device, so no international transfer of your data takes place — there is no server, no cloud region and no cross-border flow to describe, and no transfer mechanism such as Standard Contractual Clauses or a Data Privacy Framework certification is needed for data that never moves.
If you export a CSV or a backup file and send it somewhere yourself, that transfer is yours, to a destination you chose, under that service's own policy.
United States Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA and State Privacy Laws)
Weight Loss Tracker is used across the United States, where privacy is governed by a growing patchwork of state laws rather than one federal statute. This section explains how those laws apply to an app that keeps everything on your device and shows no advertising.
California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA): the developer collects no personal information from you through this app. Your weight, measurements and photos are not personal information we collect, because we never receive them. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — there is no advertising in the app and no advertising identifier is available to it, so the opt-out that dominates most app privacy policies has nothing to attach to here. You retain the rights to know, delete, correct and limit the use of sensitive personal information; exercised against us, each of them returns the same answer, which is that we hold nothing about you.
Health information deserves a specific note. Weight, body measurements and progress photos are sensitive personal information under several state laws, and Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's SB 370 impose particular duties on businesses that collect consumer health data. Those duties attach to collection, and Weight Loss Tracker does not collect: your health data is written to your own device and never transmitted to the developer, sold, or shared with any third party for any purpose. There is no consumer health data in our possession to disclose, sell or delete.
Most other US states have now enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy law of their own, and the list continues to grow. These laws differ in wording but share a common core: the right to know, access, correct, delete and export the personal data a business holds about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising and of sale or sharing. If you live in such a state, those rights apply to you here in the same way — against a business that holds no data about you and runs no targeted advertising. Some of these states also require honouring a recognised universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control; as a native app with no browser, no tracking and no ad requests, there is nothing for such a signal to opt you out of.
To exercise any of the rights on this page, email us at support@elevatedev.co.in. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.
Outside the United States and Europe — for example in India, where elevatedevco is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and can be reached at support@elevatedev.co.in for any question, request or grievance (we aim to respond within 30 days, and you may approach the Data Protection Board of India if unsatisfied) — the rights described in Your Rights above are offered to every user of Weight Loss Tracker regardless of where you live, because the app is built so the data simply stays with you.

A Note on Health & Fitness Data
Weight, body measurements and progress photos are personal health data, which is why Weight Loss Tracker is built the way it is: there is no account, no sync and no server, so this data cannot leave your device through the app. That architecture is the privacy protection -- not a setting you have to find and switch on, and not a promise about how carefully we would look after a copy, because no copy is ever made.
Everything the app shows you is computed on your device from what you entered: your trend against your goal, net change, weekly rate, streaks, milestones, plateau detection and -- if you choose to supply height, sex and birth date -- healthy-range, body-fat and BMR estimates. None of it requires a connection, and the whole app works with the network switched off.
These figures are informational estimates, not medical advice, and BMI in particular is a crude measure that says nothing about body composition, athletic build, pregnancy, age or ethnicity. Weight Loss Tracker is a tracking tool, not a diagnostic one: consult a healthcare professional about what is healthy for you, especially before acting on a number the app shows.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date, which is also the date the changes take effect. Material changes — for example introducing advertising, adding an account or cloud sync, or requesting a network permission the app does not have today — will be described here, with a new date, before that version ships.
The core promise stays the same: your weight, measurements and photos are stored on your device only, and any change to that would be disclosed here first, not applied silently.
No Warranty & Your Own Checks
This policy explains how Weight Loss Tracker handles data. It is not a warranty about the app itself, and it does not make Prachi responsible for how you use it.
Weight Loss Tracker is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Prachi is not liable for any loss you may suffer through using it — including lost data, missed reminders, lost profits or decisions you make based on what the app shows you — to the maximum extent applicable law allows. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Please check the app's output before you act on it. Weight Loss Tracker organises what you enter; it does not verify that what you entered is correct, and you remain responsible for the decisions you make. The full terms, including the complete limitation of liability, are at https://elevatedev.co.in/terms.
