Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ElevateDev.co, the developer of Medicine Reminder & Pill Alarm (the "app"). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app — no hard feelings.
Your License to Use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Medicine Reminder & Pill Alarm on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play's terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it, except where such a restriction is not permitted by applicable law. The app, its design and its code remain the property of ElevateDev.co.
Your data is a different matter entirely: everything you enter into the app — your medications, schedules, doses, refills, appointments, health measurements and any photos you attach — is yours, stays on your device, and can be deleted by you at any time.
Not Medical Advice
Medicine Reminder & Pill Alarm is a reminder and organiser — not a medical device. It does not provide medical, health or pharmacological advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
The app helps you organise medication schedules, doses, refills, appointments and health measurements that you enter yourself. It does not verify dosages, interactions, contraindications or suitability for you, and any drug-interaction or health information it shows is general and educational only, may be incomplete or out of date, and must not be relied upon. Always consult a qualified professional — such as your doctor or pharmacist — for decisions about your health, and never disregard professional advice because of something the app displayed.
You remain responsible for taking your medication correctly, whether or not a reminder fires. Do not rely on the app as your only safeguard for critical medication.
Reminder Reliability
The app schedules reminders using your device's alarms and notifications. Whether a reminder actually appears — and appears on time — ultimately depends on your device and its version of Android, over which we have no control. Battery optimisation, "do not disturb" and power-saving modes, silenced or blocked notifications, a switched-off or restarted device, exact-alarm restrictions, and manufacturer customisations can all delay or suppress a reminder.
To give reminders the best chance of firing, allow the app's notifications and exact alarms and exclude it from aggressive battery optimisation. We do not warrant that every reminder will be delivered, and the app must not be used as a life-critical alerting system.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use the app and for the information you enter. In particular:
- Use the app as a personal organising aid, alongside — not instead of — the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
- Keep your own backups. Your data lives on your device, so it can be lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset or uninstalled. Use the built-in export (JSON / CSV / PDF) to protect it.
- Configure your device so reminders can fire reliably, and keep your device — and the optional app lock — secure.
- Check every schedule you enter against the medicine's own label or your pharmacist before you rely on it. The app reminds you of the schedule you typed; it does not check the dose, the timing, the interactions or whether the medicine is right for you.
- Comply with all applicable laws when using the app.
A Free App
Medicine Reminder & Pill Alarm is free to use, and every feature is included. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no paywall. The app is supported by advertising, described in the next section.
Advertising
Medicine Reminder & Pill Alarm shows ads through Google AdMob to support the app's development. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK processes technical data such as your Advertising ID and coarse location, as described in the app's privacy policy and governed by Google's own policies. ElevateDev.co does not receive your health data through advertising, and your medication or health data is never used to target ads.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are personalized, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's settings ("Ad privacy choices"). You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.
No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. ElevateDev.co does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any information it shows will be accurate, or that every notification will be delivered by your device on time.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ElevateDev.co will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or personal injury, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app — including a reminder that is missed, delayed or not delivered — or any health decision you make while using it. Because your data lives on your device, keeping your own backups is the best protection against loss.
Changes to the App and These Terms
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
