My Invoice and Bill Maker — Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use My Invoice and Bill Maker. They are short and written to be read. Note in particular that the app is a billing tool and not tax, accounting or legal advice: the figures on an invoice you send are your figures, and the legal compliance of that invoice is your responsibility.

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Prachi, the developer of My Invoice and Bill Maker (the "app"). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to the app's privacy policy, which explains how your data is handled. If you do not agree, please do not use the app — no hard feelings.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the app.

Who You Are Contracting With

My Invoice and Bill Maker is published on Google Play by Prachi, an independent developer trading as elevatedevco ("we", "us"). We act as a trader for the purposes of consumer law in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, and we have declared trader status for this app in Google Play Console.

Our verified trader details — the developer name, postal address and contact phone number Google holds on file — are shown on this app's Google Play listing under "App support", as Google Play requires for traders. You can also ask us for them by email at any time.

Email is our support channel: write to support@elevatedev.co.in and the reply comes from the developer, usually within 1–2 business days. There is no call centre and no live chat.

Your License to Use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Invoice on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play's terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, decompile or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it, except where such a restriction is not permitted by applicable law. The app, its design and its code remain the property of Prachi.

Your business data is a different matter entirely: your invoices, estimates, clients, payments, expenses and reports are yours. They are stored in an encrypted database on your device, never sent to us, and can be exported or deleted by you at any time.

Not Tax, Accounting or Legal Advice

My Invoice and Bill Maker is a document and record-keeping tool. It is not an accountant, not a tax adviser and not a lawyer, and nothing it produces is tax, accounting, legal or other professional advice.

The app calculates totals, taxes and summaries from the rates and figures you enter. It does not know which tax applies to your transaction, whether a rate or an exemption is current, whether your invoice numbering, HSN/SAC codes, place-of-supply treatment, GSTIN details or mandatory disclosures satisfy the law where you and your customer are, or whether a document will be accepted by a tax authority, a customer or an auditor.

You are responsible for the correctness and legal compliance of every invoice, estimate, receipt and report you create and send, and for keeping the records your own law requires you to keep. Please have your accountant or tax adviser check your setup before you rely on it, and check each document before you send it.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the app and for the information you enter. In particular:

  • Check every invoice, tax figure and total against your own records before you send it to a customer or file it — the app arithmetic is only as right as the rates and amounts you entered.
  • Keep the tax rates, registration numbers and company details you enter current, and confirm them with your accountant or tax adviser.
  • Keep your own backups. Your billing data lives on your device, so it can be lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset or uninstalled. Use the built-in encrypted export or the optional Google Drive backup — and keep the records your own law requires for as long as it requires them.
  • Keep your device and the app's lock secure: invoices contain your customers' personal data, and protecting it is your obligation as the business that collected it.
  • Use the app lawfully, and do not use it to create false, misleading or fraudulent documents.

A Free App

My Invoice and Bill Maker is free to use, and every feature is included. There are no in-app purchases of any kind: no subscription, no Pro upgrade, no per-invoice charge and no paywalled export. The app is funded by advertising, described in the next section.

Advertising

Invoice shows a single banner ad through Google AdMob to support the app's development. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK processes technical data such as your Advertising ID and coarse location, as described in the app's privacy policy and governed by Google's own policies. Prachi does not receive your billing data through advertising, and your billing data is never used to target ads.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are personalized, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's settings. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.

Optional Google Drive Backup

The app can optionally back up your data to a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive. This feature is strictly opt-in and off by default.

When you enable it, your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policy, and the backup is stored in your Google account — not with Prachi. You are responsible for your Google account, and you can turn the feature off or delete the backup at any time. Note that the backup file is protected by your Google account rather than end-to-end encrypted.

Intellectual Property & Your Content

Your content is yours, and the app is ours. In detail:

  • You retain all rights to the content you create, import or export with the app. We claim no licence over it, and — because it stays on your device — we never receive a copy of it.
  • The app, its design, templates, branding, code and content libraries are the intellectual property of Prachi or its licensors and are protected by law. Using the app grants you no ownership of any of it.
  • "Google", "Android", "Google Play" and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. We are not endorsed by or affiliated with Google.

Third-Party Services

The app is distributed through Google Play, and your use of the store itself — downloads, reviews and any payment — is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. Where the app relies on another third-party service, that service's own terms apply to it, and we are not responsible for its availability, its changes, or its acts or omissions. If a third-party service changes or becomes unavailable, related app features may be limited, changed or discontinued.

Backups, Data Loss & Changing Phones

Your billing records lives on your device. We keep no cloud copy of it, which is the point of the app — but it has a consequence worth stating plainly: if your device is lost, stolen, damaged or reset, or if you uninstall the app, anything you have not exported is gone, and neither we nor Google nor anyone else can recover it.

Please make your own backups with the export features the app provides, keep at least one copy somewhere other than the device itself, and restore from a backup when you move to a new phone. We cannot restore data for you, and we do not accept responsibility for billing records you have not backed up.

Availability, Updates & Changes to the App

We release updates when they are ready. We may change, add or remove features, raise the minimum Android or app version required, or stop publishing the app altogether. Where a change materially reduces what the app does for you, we will say so in the release notes rather than let you discover it.

Google Play distributes the app, so its availability in your country, on your particular device, and the timing with which updates reach you are matters for Google and your device manufacturer rather than for us.

Termination

Either of us can end this arrangement:

  • By you: stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. There is nothing to cancel and no notice to give.
  • By us: we may stop publishing or supporting the app, and — for any online feature — may suspend your access to that feature if you materially breach these Terms. Where practical, we will act proportionately.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, consumer rights and governing law) survive termination.

No Warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement — to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Prachi does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any figure, result or output it shows will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and the "Your Statutory Rights" section below always prevails over it.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Prachi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages — including loss of data, lost profits or lost opportunities — arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the same extent, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose — which, for this free app, is zero — or the smallest amount a law that cannot be excluded permits. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your own country. Where a clause here conflicts with a right you cannot waive, that right prevails and the rest of these Terms continues to apply.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights in respect of digital content that is not as described or not of satisfactory quality — under Directive (EU) 2019/770 as implemented in your country, and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the United Kingdom. Those remedies apply regardless of what the "No Warranty" and "Limitation of Liability" sections above say.

Invoice is supplied free of charge and contains no in-app purchase, so there is no price to refund and no contract to cancel. If we ever introduced a paid feature, it would be sold through Google Play: Google's refund policy would apply to the payment, and consumers in the EEA and the UK would have the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content, except where you ask for the download to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose that right.

If you are a consumer in India, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are likewise unaffected.

Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If something is wrong, email support@elevatedev.co.in with the app name and what happened. We answer within 1–2 business days and try to settle complaints directly, which is almost always faster than any formal route.

If we cannot resolve it and you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you may take the matter to a certified alternative dispute resolution body or to your national consumer authority; for cross-border cases within the EEA, the European Consumer Centres Network can help. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025, so it is no longer a route. We are not a member of any particular ADR scheme and are not obliged to use one, but we will engage with a national authority that contacts us.

Complaints about a payment, a download, a review or the store listing itself are for Google Play, which handles distribution and billing.

Your Customers' Data

When you record a client, you are putting another person's or business's details into the app. For that data you are the controller — the app is simply the tool you chose — and the obligations that come with holding someone else's personal data are yours: collecting it lawfully, keeping it accurate, keeping it secure, and deleting it when you no longer need it.

We never receive that data, and we have no technical means to see it, so we cannot answer a request about it on your behalf. If a customer of yours asks you to delete their details, you do that inside the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example when features, the law or Google Play's requirements change. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly, and that date is also the date the new version takes effect. Material changes will be described here before they apply. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the app.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the app.

That is subject to one important carve-out: if you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
