QuitWin — Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use QuitWin. They are short and written to be read. Note in particular that QuitWin is a self-help tool and not medical or professional advice.

Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ElevateDev.co, the developer of QuitWin (the "app"). By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app — no hard feelings.
Your License to Use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use QuitWin on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play's terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or reverse-engineer the app or any part of it, except where such a restriction is not permitted by applicable law. The app, its design and its code remain the property of ElevateDev.co.
Your data is a different matter entirely: everything you enter into the app — the habits you are quitting, check-ins, journal entries, urges and progress — is yours, stays on your device, and can be deleted by you at any time.
Not Medical or Professional Advice
QuitWin is a self-help, motivation and habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, clinical, psychological, addiction-treatment or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. Sober-time counters, "health recovery" milestones, money-saved figures and motivational content are general, informational estimates — they do not account for your individual circumstances.
Quitting some substances (for example alcohol or other physical dependencies) can carry real health risks, and withdrawal can in some cases be dangerous. Always consult a qualified doctor, pharmacist, therapist or a recognised support service before making decisions about your health, and never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something the app displayed. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a professional helpline. You use the app at your own discretion and remain responsible for your own health decisions.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use the app and for the information you enter. In particular:
- Treat the app as an encouragement tool, not a clinical one. Check anything that matters — including health-recovery milestones and money-saved figures — against a professional or your own records.
- Use the app as a personal motivation and tracking aid, alongside — not instead of — professional help where you need it.
- Keep your own backups. Your data lives on your device, so it can be lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset or uninstalled. Use the built-in export or the optional Google Drive backup to protect it.
- Keep your device and any app lock secure, and comply with all applicable laws when using the app.
A Free App
QuitWin is free to use, and every recovery feature is included. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no paywall. The app is supported by advertising, described in the next section.
Advertising
QuitWin shows ads through Google AdMob to support the app's development. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK processes technical data such as your Advertising ID and coarse location, as described in the app's privacy policy and governed by Google's own policies. ElevateDev.co does not receive your recovery data through advertising, and your recovery data is never used to target ads.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are personalized, and you can change your choice at any time from the app's settings. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.
Optional Google Drive Backup
The app can optionally back up your data to a private, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive. This feature is strictly opt-in and off by default.
When you enable it, your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policy, and the backup is stored in your Google account — not with ElevateDev.co. You are responsible for your Google account, and you can turn the feature off or delete the backup at any time. Note that the backup file is protected by your Google account rather than end-to-end encrypted.
No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. ElevateDev.co does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any figure or milestone it shows will be accurate, or that using the app will help you quit or maintain any particular outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ElevateDev.co will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app, or any health decision you make while using it. Because your data lives on your device, keeping your own backups is the best protection against loss.
Changes to the App and These Terms
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
